Service & Installation Notes

• Surface Preparation: Ensure both the cylinder head rim and rocker cover channel are completely clean and dry of old oil residue or debris before laying down the new gasket.

• Torque Specification: Torque rocker cover mounting bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to 52–61 in-lb (5.9–6.9 N·m) to prevent warping the cover or pinching the gasket.

• Valve Adjustment: Inspect or set valve lash (typically 0.004–0.006 in / 0.10–0.15 mm on cold intake and exhaust valves) whenever removing the rocker covers for replacement.
